The manufacture of power supply cables is a key business area of Plastro Mayer GmbH, which is headquartered in the small town of Trochtelfingen in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The family-owned company, founded in 1957 and now in its third generation, is active in the fields of injection molding, assemblies and complete assembly, cables and toolmaking.
As a supplier of industry and trade, we are an innovative and absolutely reliable manufacturer of power supply cables, which we assemble according to customer requirements. The harmonized PVC cables as well as all other cables are produced at the company site in Trochtelfingen.
Power supply lines for a variety of purposes and needs
Our production of power supply cables is diversified down to the smallest detail and also country-specific. Standard power cords are generally manufactured in the common RAL colors. In the production of power cords, we distinguish, for example, between power plugs for Switzerland and England. And beyond that we also offer for USA, Australia, Italy, Argentina as well as other countries. For European cables, we distinguish in the 2-pole range between Euro, small appliance and contour cables, and in the 3-pole range between cold appliance, warm appliance and hot appliance cables, whereby warm appliances are assembled with rubber cables. We also offer various extension cables, e.g. cold appliance extensions or a Schuko extension cable.
The mains connection cable connects the end device with the socket. Our portfolio as a manufacturer of power cords includes different types of plugs, appliance plugs and appliance sockets, special parts and adapters or also protective contact sockets. In addition, there is a wide range of cable sleeves for feeding through the supply cable with and without kink protection.
During the production of the meter goods the twisted copper strands are insulated by soft PVC. Euro plugs of protection class 2 have a PVC coating and can be used up to a load of 2.5 amperes at a voltage of 250 volts. The international standard for plugs and sockets IEC corresponds to the German DIN EN 60309.
